Flat plate collectors already have a history of over 60 years. Their use is worldwide in the world due to their high-efficiency in the low operating temperature range. Our collector quality is strictly controlled from the raw material selection to the production processing and inspection. Compared to other kinds of solar collectors, the flat plate collector is the most cost-effective. It is especially suitable for regions with high solar exposure and shorter periods of cold weather.

The heart of the solar collector is the absorber. The Sunstrip aluminum fin absorber is integrated with a copper tube water riser which creates excellent pressure endurance and high efficiency. The anodized selective surface coating improves the heat generating capability of the collector.

Rule of thumb for sizing (DHW):
- 20 ft2 (2 m2) of collector area for each of the first two family members
- 8 square feet (0.7 square meter) for each additional family member in the Sun Belt.
- 12 - 14 additional square feet (1.1-1.3 m2) per person in the northern US [US DEPT OF ENERGY]
